Elana Fric Memorial Lecture

Dr. Bev Young and Dr. Ariel Dalfen are experts in treating women with mental health concerns across reproductive life stages. They’ve also treated many physicians over the years and are going to talk about what makes female MDs susceptible to mental health care concerns and they will address how to manage the anxiety and perfectionism that are so prevalent among female doctors. Finally, they will talk about how women can feel better and accept help.

• Describe how female physicians are at risk of mental health concerns
• Identify personal risk factors for mental health concerns, especially perfectionism and anxiety
• Develop a plan to manage risks, accept care, and improve mental health
