Description
In this talk, sex educator Emily Nagoski will describe a transformative approach to “low desire.” Based on the most current science, this talk offers three actionable ideas for helping clients sustain (or rebuild!) sexual connections in long-term relationships by shifting focus from desire to pleasure and strategies to co-create it.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:
- Integrate the seven primary process emotions into a sex education context and to address difficulties with arousal, desire, pleasure, and orgasm.
- Differentiate between “responsive desire,” “spontaneous desire,” and "magnificent desire" and explain their relevance to differential desire in couples.
- Explain at least two lessons from people who self-identify as having "extraordinary sex" for couples struggling with desire differential.
