This session will explore factors impacting the health of 2SLGBTQ+ people in Canada and what providers can do to improve health outcomes.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

• Recognize relevant language and discuss a model of diversity in sexual orientation and gender identity in human populations 

• Examine health disparities and list the barriers to optimal healthcare access for 2SLGBTQ+ patients across Canada 

• Employ strategies to reduce barriers to care and improve experiences of 2SLGBTQ+ patients in clinical environments 

• Identify common and emerging clinical interventions that can improve the health of 2SLGBTQ+ people
