Dr. Katherine Larivière is a bilingual Physician Advisor and Physician Team Lead at the CMPA, where she has worked since 2017 providing member physicians with support and education around medico-legal topics. She is from Ottawa where she completed bachelors and master’s degrees in biology, as well as her MD and Family Medicine residency. She practiced in a number of clinical settings including working with underserved communities, and as an academic full-time teacher and residency program site director for the University of Ottawa Department of Family Medicine. She is an experienced educator, facilitator and speaker in French and in English and is passionate about medical education, diagnostic reasoning, patient safety and systems thinking. She values her connections with physicians through the Ottawa Voices Rock Medicine choir and the Canadian Women Physician Fitness Challenge.
