They say by the time we hit 50, our feet have carried us over 120,000Km! Add on all those nights on call, walking from the ER to the OR, our feet can undoubtedly bear the brunt of our hectic lives. The menopause transition can also change our feet - the skin tissues, tendons, joints, and bones - often leaving them achy and in pain, and eventually restricting our mobility. This makes it even more important to be mindful of our feet! In this session, we will practice techniques based on yoga to help us tune into our feet, release tension, and maintain functional integrity and balance as we age.

 

At the end of this session, participants will walk away with

  • Essential strength and mobility activities for the foot and ankle, and the importance of stretching through the myofascia.
  • Techniques to build awareness mindful movement, and proprioception
  • Incorporate lower leg and foot care into their daily routines to help support foot structure and function throughout the day for ongoing well-being.
